Terms & Conditions

1) A non-refundable deposit equal to the cost of your first nights accommodation is required, within 5 working days of the booking being made, to secure the room. In the event of no deposit being received The Forge reserves the right to re-let the room.

2) Cancellation policy. After you have paid your deposit a contract exists between us and we now strongly advise that you take out Holiday Insurance to cover any losses you may incur if there is any reason to cancel your booking. If you cancel your booking less than 72 hours before 12 mid-day on the day of arrival the full amount owing for your holiday may then be payable.

3) All alterations & cancellations must be made in writing in accordance with the cancellation policy above.

4) Last minute bookings made without deposit will only be held till 2pm, unless other arrangements have been agreed with the proprietors.

5) Check-in is between 2pm - 6pm. Other times by prior arrangement only.

6) Damage. All damages & breakages are to be paid for.

7) Smoking and vaping is NOT permitted anywhere in the property. Anyone who does not respect this will be asked to leave the premises, all moneys paid will be forfeit and an additional charge will be made for the deep cleaning of the room.

8) We hope that guests enjoy their stay here in Filey & at The Forge, however excessive noise or disturbance of other guests will NOT be tolerated and could result in the offending guest being evicted with no refund.

9) Credit & Debit cards; a deposit cheque or Card number is required to reserve a room & confirm the booking. Supplying The Forge Guest House with your Card details will authorise The Forge to deduct a non-refundable deposit or, in the event of a no show, a sum equal to the amount of the first nights stay. All deposits are non-refundable and cancellation terms and conditions apply. Any charges for repair to damage or for deep cleaning will also be deducted from the card supplied at the point of booking. Please see sections 6 & 7.

10) Unfortunately we do not accept Guest pets, but we do accept working assistance dogs.
